Windows live messenger won't open

Hello, my problem is that messenger program won't open, I click on the icon and after few seconds a window opens saying that: windows live messenger has encountered a problem and needs to close. We're sorry for the inconvenience. Then......send error report........don't send
Then I updated the program, uninstall and re-install and nothing sems to work. Any sugentions on what to do? Thanks everyone
