What can I do to get a wifi connection to the internet via my PC (windows XP SP2, CPU P3) using the HWUS036H connected thru its usb port? Connection with an excellent signal strength indication is being made to the wifi router but the connection to the internet is not being made despite repeated tries to different strong wifi signal routers and having re-installed the driver several times. (The PC can connect to the internet via its internal dial up modem.)
I have no problem connecting with the HWUS036H when attached to my new Dell Vostro laptop computer (Windows XP, SP3).

I'm not quite sure if it can be called a "dongle". The manufacturer (ALFA) calls it a 802.11b/g Long Range USB Adapter.
