Maxtor one touch

Hello,
I am tyring to use my external hard drive and have lost the bowx with instructions on how to plug in to usb. Which end do i plug into my laptop-the dual end(red or Yellow) or single end?

Dear Webb,

Please connect it instead of the CD ROM drive and hence get the connection completed.
