Laptop Wont Connect To Wirless WLAN Light Off

Heyy All,
I've just bought the HP G61-406SA & I'm unable to connect it to my router for wirless connection :( The router is connected to my main computer & all the light on the router are green except for the WLAN light which is off & sometimes red. Is this the problem? Id so how do I turn the WLAN light back on?

Thanks for any help given, really appriecate it, my very first laptop! :(

You need to configure wireless network setting on wireless router management page properly (read the router manual if not sure), after that connect your laptop to wireless network by configuring wireless adapter with same setting on wireless router. Remember to install wireless adapter driver on laptop too if you have not done yet.
