acer 5732z keyboard not workingClosed

Question

i left my acer 5732z  for a few minutes  and came back to find my cat on the  keyboard . now  my keyboard  is not working ( when  I try to  type  it makes a click sound ) . what  has happened  and how  do I fix it? 



running : windows  7
only  had this for a month, so I doubt  it's  the laptop  breaking

Hi there,

You mean click sound from the speakers or from the keys pressed?try hooking a usb keyboard and revert back with more information.

I don't know if you resolved this but I had a similar problem today my dog laid down on the keyboard now no typing just clicking when the keys are pressed. I can't fix it but by creating a new user the problem was corrected so hope this helps someone else
