keyboard problem on a dell inspironn 1501 Closed

Question

Hello, 
I cannot enter my pw to log into computer.    As dots are entered when you type just a small amount when pressed will not enter anything, mostly in the q row of keys.   I have norton 360 so I well it is not a virus issue.    Nothing was spilled on keys...so that's out....someone plzzzzz help!!

I haven't tried that just yet...I just tried popping off the keys that don't work, qweuiopbn...and cleaning with a qtip underneath...so far cleaning p didn't work....my battery icon blinks occasionally...but I have ac so not sure if a bad battery would cause some keys not working....plz help me...
