Unabel to see files on my f: drive

Hello,


i am using windows xp
i dont know what happened to my f: drive ,suddenly it is not showing any files or folder in it.
but when I type in address bar like f:\program files,it is showing the contents in program files but when i get back it is not showing the folder program files
even in comand prompt when i type dir or attrib for F: ,it says File not found - F:\*.*
i even checked in registry for hidden files still i am unable to solve the problem
please help me , my f: drive has important files and i dont want to format it

Hello,

Try this 1.

Click on "Start" -->Run-->type cmd and click on OK.

"Command Prompt" will be opened --> Since you have mentioned it as F drive.

Enter this command.

attrib -h -r -s /s /d f:\*.*

Now press "Enter"

Now wait for the process to get completed.

Now check your F Drive.

After that, download the Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from the below link

https://ccm.net/downloads/security-and-maintenance/4621-malwarebytes-anti-malware/

Update it --> Perform "Full Scan"

Note : Default selected option is "Quick Scan".
