Last night, I was typing a Word document when suddenly my "h" key began looking like this when i typed it --> ?
I have no idea how to fix it. I researched it a lot online and found out that the h key is acting like the alt key! If I hold down the h key and press another key, it makes symbols. I didn't do anything abnormal, I was just typing. Please help! I have to write a paper and it is due today!
Please check whether there is no assigned function to the specific key and also consider checking whether there is any virus or trojan causing it to act up like this.
the answer is incorrect -assigned function? The function should be H.
further searching on the internet should reveal that alt/option key is in an on position all the time. likely the keyboard is failing. Can test this by pluggin in an external keyboard and trying the h key.
do you get a ? when you press the key? that is the alternate symbol for the h key...
