My laptop volume won't work.. Solved/Closed

Hello, 


My laptop volume won't work...I can no longer see my lil volume icon however my volume is all the way up...I can hear a sound when I get on speech are I restart my laptop..I have a vaio labtop with windows XP please tell me step by step how to fix this problem Thanks :)
Configuration: Windows XP / Firefox 3.0.11

Hello, 

Try this 1. 

Click on Start --> Run --> type MMSYS.CPL and click on OK. 

"Sounds and Audio Devices Properties" window will be opened.  

Now check the check box "Place the volume icon in the taskbar" --> Click on OK. 

Now the "Volume" icon should appear in the taskbar.

Hello friend,
you probably have a virus, so scan your laptop for anyviruses and remove them, also check your volume on panel de control.  but most likely it's a virus.Good luck
