Sony Vaio keyboard mixed up

Hello,

My Mum bought a new Sony Vaio VPCEB21FG notebook last week.
The @ symbol comes out as "
The ' symbol comes out as @
The # symbol comes out as british pound sign,
The | symbol comes out as ~
The \ symbol comes out as #

Can anyone tell me what to do to fix it to New Zealand english settings.
