Hi there,
If you got this message then get to device manager and check if the drivers are missing or still there,if missing the use driver cd to install them or use link below to download:
http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx

Hello,
Try this 1.
Click on Start --> Run --> Type services.msc and click on OK.
Services windows will be opened. Now scroll down for "Windows Audio".
Make sure its status is "Started". If its not started then to change its status,
double-click on "Windows Audio" --> Set "Startup type:" to "Automatic" and click
on "Start" --> Click on OK.
Good Luck.
