I am facing a hard disk drive reading problem Closed

Hello, 
I am facing a hard disk drive reading problem since last few days and not able to resolve it. 

The thing is I purchased external USB hard disk (seagate 40 gb) 2 years back.And uptil now its working perfectly fine. But suddenly 4 days back I am not able to read my data. when i connect usb hard disk it gets detected with a beep sound with symbol in sys.tray..it has only one partition..but no any drive of it shown in My computer drive list. So please if somebody knows how to deal with this thing, I'll be very greatful.

Hi there,

Right click on my computer>manage >disk management,do you see it there?if not then try using another usb cable and also plug on another computer giving your feedback for further help on it .,
