Hello,

i have a Sony Vaio laptop and i just got it. It worked fine but now every time i start it up it loads to the page where the user account is supposed to be for you to type in your password to sign in but that screen is totally just a blue background. Please help I have tried pressing ctrl+alt+del, i have tried restarting it. Nothing's working

Hi Jessica.
As you have said that the system goes to the blank screen after the startup. I would first of all like to ask that if you have tried turning on the system in Safe Mode. Could you please tell me that if you have tried it in Safe Mode, was the system able to get to the Windows Screen.

If you mean pressing the F8 key then yeah i have it still doesn't work. I have no clue what this could be it's a brand new laptop. Everything was working fine until a message that said something like searching for problems and then this problem started occuring

Hey Jessica,
In that case you can do one thing of taking the battery out from the system and unplug the AC adapter from the system. By unplugging both the devices press and hold the POWER button of the system for 30 seconds. After that plug in the AC adapter by keeping the battery out and try to turn on the system. After that turn of the system, put in the battery back to place and then turn it on. It should work otherwise you need to re-install the Windows back into the system
