Itunes issue

Hello,

I just got a i-pod classic for christmas and am trying to upgrade my itunes 6.0 to an itunes 8.0. The only problem is very time I try to download it it says that it is not a valid win32 application. Also every time that it actually does start to download it says that it will take 18 hours. Do you know what I should do? Or do stores sell itunes cds for 8.0? thanks

lol if I can get it to at least start to download I will wait but IDK what to do bout the 32 application thing
