I've bought an S5560 to replace my VERY old Nokia and I'm really disappointed with the SMS facility as it will only allow me to send really short messages. Anything more than a 'yeah great' seems to get split into 2 or even 3 messages.

My old phone allowed a lot more characters and most of my friends are able to send much longer messages without splitting them.

Is there anything I can do to increase the number of characters the phone will allow me to send in one text?

Thanks in advance for any help.

When you've written what you need to, select 'more' and then 'insert page'. For some reason this compiles your text into one message, rather than splitting it into 3 or 4 segments. It's a bit of a nuisance, but it seems to work for me. Peace.
