Hello there
thanks for the reply, i downloaded the driver from the link that you have mentioned but still no result. i was checking the device manager and noticed that the PCI Device has a conflict ( msg says that no drivers are installed) does this has anything to do with the sound, i have then installed the PCI driver but the problem persists.

Hello,
Please go to your device manager and delete your sound card and reboot your computer, XP will show that it has detected a new device. Then reinstall the driver.
