When plugged in the light did not stay on

Hello,

When the power cord is plugged in the wall and inserted into My Book a blue light usually is in. Now I plugged in the power cord and connected it to My Book external drive the blue light only flashes once and disappears,. The machin is not on and cannot be used. I think it is obvious that the connection is bad. What should I do?

Hi Drew,

Plug the cord in different outlet to see if machine turns on if not then it is the power supply not the cord. Take a model number, visit manufacturer site, find the machine specifications and replace power supply. It will work.
