hi,
1) connect the computer to the router's port#1 and the modem to the router's internet port
2) access the router ui using http://192.168.1.1 .. the default login password is admin
3)on the ui , click on the "status" tab and check the internet ip add
4)if it is 192.168.1.x , click on the "setup" tab and change the local ip add to 192.168.2.1 .. save the settings and do a power cycle
5)if getting 0.0.0.0 , change the "internet connection type" to PPPoE .. enter the username and password provided by the ISP
6)go to the "status" tab and ensure that the PPPoE status is connected and it has a valid internet ip add
7)if PPPoE status is disconnected or has some error , configure the modem in bridge mode ..
