Hello,
I have a Toshiba lap top which runs on Vista, and I would like to link it to my Dell desk top whitch runs XP to both work on my Broadband connection, in the MOST SIMPLE WAY!!. I am in no way a clever cloggs when it comes to computers, so very easy pleeeezz.regards, rebeccajp1.

You buy a "router" that is connected between the broadband modem and your computers. You can get a "wireless" router and connect wirelessly to the laptop and by wire to the desktop. That connection might NOT work at first for a person of limited experience with computers. I suggest you buy a package deal where the store sends someone to your home to install the hardware and make the software changes to your laptop.
