It depends on where the password is coming from. Is it Windows asking for a password or the computer asking for a password before Windows starts. If its the latter - you can remove the CMOS battery (60 sec or more) this will reset the BIOS and remove the BIOS password requirement. The fix for a lost Windows password requires the Windows CD to repair and reset the password.
