Hello,

To put it simply, I'm not getting full speed from my router. I'm supposed to be receiving 1.5mbps, but it's only giving me around 170kbps. I have Qwest(I know; terrible), and I'm using an Actiontec PK5000 router/modem.

I don't really want to call Qwest to receive their demeaning customer service, but I'll have to if I can't fix this myself. I'm sure it's something in the settings.

Firewall is off, everything says it's connected at:

"Qwest DSL:
CONNECTED 1536/ 896 KBPS"

So, what's the problem? Please help.

either
1. since it's dsl possible that you are too far from the headend.
2. your using a wireless channel that is too congested. that is if your using wireless at all.

is it faster when your directly connected to the modem or is the modem the router.
