Hello,

Hello,
I have a problem with my laptop for awhile now
It is a Toshiba Satallite M40. All of a sudden it Freezers as soon as I load wondows and nothing works after that. When I start again it gos to the safe mode screen and I click to start on any of those options but now it goes to the blue screen. Never start after that started stops at the blue screen. After a few hours or a day it starts normally but still freezers at windows.
I upgraded the memory 1 Gb assuming that's the cause but may be not. Any help on this is greatly appreciated.

I forgot to inform that I updated the bios. That's after all these freezing stuff started happening. I tried to install the same bios but it keeps on saying I have the same version.

Please give me the solution.

Arjun

Hello!
You must check whether the speed of your memory card is proportional to your CPU if you put a RAM whose velocity is lower than the CPU, your system may encounter errors and the computer will freeze.

Hi bionik,
Thanks for the reply,
I changed the memory to the original one that had (512mb) and still it freezers on windows.

I originally updated the bios and since then the computer goes in to blue screen and freezers with a bunch of 0000000 numbers..
I did change the memory to 1 gig but still it has the problem. When I start at first the laptop goes to windows no problem, stays for a few minutes and freezers.
Next time I start it it goes to blue screen and never starts again until about 3-4 hours.
Will you have a solution for this.
Thanks.

Hi bionik,
Yes, I guess I had this problem before too but not as this much. Once in awhile the computer goes in to blue screen. Now it does start after I changed the memory to 1 gig but now freezers on windows just about 2 minutes it comes on to windows screen.
Then I reboot it .but now it goes to the blue screen saying something about the ACPI is not compatible and some numbers at the bottom.
Sorry for the trouble . If you have an answer please let me know.
Thank you.
