Maybe you don't need software, do it in this way-->
With you USB connected to your computer):
My computer -> properties -> manage -> computer management -> storage -> disk management -> select USB then format it from here.
It will now format your USB defiantly.

Log in Administrator type account and format the device or if already on it then use hp disk format tool to format it,have the mentioned tool downloaded using the link below:
