Hello,
It's possible that you'll need an LCD, but it's most likely the inverter or inverter cable. You'll have to take it to a repair shop to fix that problem.
So most likely the resolution of your screen is too high for the LCD to handle. Go to desktop settings and go one notch lower and that should do the trick.
