Before i factory reset can i recover photos

Hello,

My gateway netbook mini from verizon wont get past the windows xp logo when I turn it on. I was thinking about factory reset but I have a ton of important pictures n music that I will lose. Is it possible to recover this stuff before I do it. Somebody please help!

Hello,

Try this 1

Check if you are able to boot into "Safe Mode".

When you switch ON your laptop, keep tapping the "F8" key to get "Windows

Advanced Options"( if boot menu appears, press "Esc" key and keep tapping the

F8 key). Select the option "Safe Mode" --> Press Enter

I tried that befor I even posted n it does nothing the screen goes black n stays that way. Is there anything else
