Downgrading Explorer 8 to Explorer7

Hello,
I have been having a hell of a time with my Quickbooks!! After being on the phone for over 4 hours with their tech support they tell me that my Internet Explorer is interferring with my printing abilities!! They told me that I need to uninstall IE8 and downgrade to 6 or 7! I went to my control panel and can't find the 'add or remove program' prompt! I need to downgrade to print my tax forms and not sure what to do! My system is a Windows Vista! Please any advice would be great! Thanks
