Hello,

I have a walkman mp3 NWZ S639F. When I plug into my computer (O/S vista ultimate 64bit) it is not being recognised. It says connecting but nothing happens. It's also not charging. This is a recent occurrence as it worked find before.

I've tried uninstalling bits of software I can find and reinstalling its 'content transfer' from sony software drivers. Nothing happens. The device also does not appear via device manager or as portable device, nor under my computer.

I really don't know what else to do and I've spent ages trying to work it out. When plugged into my laptop running XP the 'content transfer' appears - no problem.

I really would appreciate any help you can give as I am at my witsend with this problem.

Many thanks

Hello,

Try this 1.

1) First try plugging the device in different USB slots.

2) Click on Start --> In search box type devmgmt.msc and press "Enter".

"Device Manager" will be opened. If there is any yellow mark then re-install the

drivers.

3) Plug your device -->Click on Start --> In search box type devmgmt.msc and

press "Enter" --> Expand "Universal Serial Bus controllers" --> Right-click on

"USB Mass Storage Device" ---> Click on "Uninstall"--> Remove your device

and restart your PC.

Good Luck.
