Copy and paste information from a cell to ano

i am just wondering how to copy and paste information from a cell to another document.
i have a formula to figure out the sum of total boxes and i want to paste it into another document to figure out skid counts for me my formulas are fine but when i paste it from document 1 to document 2. it gives me a zero value. is there any way to show the numerical value instead of the o value.. ie: =A2:A46/27, Then i want to paste this into a second document but when i paste it into the second document it keeps showing me a zero value instead of the numerical value. Please help.
