F10 Button Stopped Working

Hello, I'm on an HP Pavilion laptop with Vista. I use the F10 key to abort from Free Cell games. It allows the player to not receive a loss. All of a sudden F10 does not bring up the window with the abort feature. What can i do to fix it?

I'll answer my own question, after getting it sorted out on my own. Hope this helps anyone useing the F10 key to abort from Free Cell games (and keeping your cumlative score of wins). I was holding down the function key at the bottom of the keyboard and then pressing F10: wrong. You must hold down shift and control and then press F10 to access the abort feature.
