Sound not coming from laptop

Hello,
I used an HMDI cable to connect my laptop my TV. .and it worked fine.. my problem comes after.. now that i have disconnected my laptop from the tv.. my laptop has gone mute on me.. i am running vista ..its not on mute..the drivers are working fine.. what haven't i checked? plz help

Hello,

Try this 1

Set the "Speakers" as default. Follow the below instructions

Click on Start --> Control Panel --> Sound --> In "Playback" tab --> Click on

"Speakers" --> Click on "Set Default" button --> Click on OK.

Hi,

Press on sound icon on taskbar,then mixer>device .From the list select your output device.

thanks all, i was having an emergency situation.. so i just restored my system to an earlier point. and now its working fine.. thanks again!!
