Hello,

I have tar-files on the windows platform and I want to have a listing of the tar-contents. Something similar to the unix tar tvf command. There are of course tools with a graphical interface, but I am searching for a command line call, because I will be incorporating it into an excel-visual basic application.

So far I've been experimenting with the winzip command line add-on, but no success there (tries to decompress the tar, but the tar is just a collection of uncompressed files). Closest so far is a file check using 7zip, but that seems like a big detour.

Can anybody give me some advise?

Thx!
