Hi all,
Am hoping you might be able to point me in the right direction ?
I have a Dell inspiron 1545. Its a couple of years old and today all of sudden it does not seem to boot up at all. The power pack has the light on it but the laptop has no lights or anyting when trying to switch it on ?
Any ideas would be appreciated, it was only 3 months ago the Hard drive was wiped and started again fresh. Im running Vista.
Thanks for your assistance.

Hello,
Are you getting the black screen after the motherboard's brand name ?

Thanks for the response, but not sure what you mean.
Its a permanent black screen, the only light I get on is on the power pack.

I mean, when you turn on your laptop, are you getting the motherboard's brand name screen (Like Dell for you)?

no I get absolutely nothing (bot even a fan noise), seems like no power is getting from the power pack to the PC

Try this 1

Remove the USB cable.

Unplug the power cord --> Remove the battery --> Hold the power button for 60

seconds --> Connect the power supply then try to switch ON the laptop and later

put the battery back into the laptop.

Good Luck
