No display on Laptop but external display

Hello,
i am having dell vestro 1710 laptop having no display on laptop however on external monitor it works perfectly fine. window is loading & showing desktop icons. i had change the lcd 7 invertor also however problem remains same.
i had shown the same to repair guy he told me this is the problem of nvidea chip. pls help me in this case

Hi,
Did you try to update your graphic card and see if the problem persists? If it does, think to change your graphic card.
