hi,
go to your playback devices and select the HDMI option. You can get there quickly by right clicking on the volume icon in the task bar. Good luck

No HDMI option? That's strange. This is a shot in the dark, but try starting with the cable unplugged, computer off. Then plug it in and start the computer after. Hopefully it will bring the option in Playback Devices when it boots.
thank you, i ll try that, hope it works. I tried almost everything i found online, even bought an audio jack, didnt work, changed analysis on the laptop screen, didnt work, checked all the audio TV settings, nothing. Too bad i cant attach a screenshot here, you d see the 2 options i have: 1. Realtech audio output and 2. bluetooth hands-free output, but no HDMI:( I ll try what you suggested and get back to you, thank you very much

Hi, sorry for the late reply. I've searched some other forums but can't find anything similar. The only thing i can suggest is using another source for sound, like a home surround sound system, and using an auxiliary cable. It may be possible to use your TV as the speakers but without using the HDMI cable. Does the HDMI option come up and work with another computer?
I think the problem is that i am using XP instead of Vista or Windows 7( Seems they dont work with HDMI (?).. I think i ll just hook up some external sound system...or install vista))
