Data recovery from external hard drive

Hello,


when i connect my 'seaget freeagent pro' usb 2.0 hard disk to my desktop, it is showing new hardware found in task bar.But not showing in "my computer or in 'Disk management'
how can i get back my data from the harddisk. Please help me.

Try using another cable for the device and give your feedback .
