Hidden files in my external drive
Solved/Closed
Hi
I have a 2tb external that now refuses to show me my files when I explore the drive. I have contacted seagate but none of their sollutions amount to anything. My pc is conneted to the drive and I can still copy data to the drive but there is now 700gb which seems to be occupied that I cannot see! When you test the drive, I can see the files names it's running through but no amount of unplugging, rebooting ect. is solving my problem.
Please help I need this data!

Hello,
Try this 1.
Click on "Start" -->Run --> type cmd and click on OK.
Here I assume your external drive letter as G:
Enter this command.
attrib -h -r -s /s /d g:\*.*
You can copy the above command --> Right-click in the Command Prompt and
paste it.
Note : Replace the letter g with your External hard drive letter.
Now check for your files in External Drive.
Good Luck.
