Unable to Install windows XP over windows 7

Hi John,

As per your recommendation, opened bios setup --> system configuration --> SATA mode
but I could see only AHCI and RAID.
I tried both but it dint work.

Could you please help me where I need to setup the the SATA configuration.

Not all BIOS have a option to change the SATA function to IDE compatible.

Your only option is to modify the Windows XP install CD with updated SATA drivers that work with your motherboard. If you Google "slipstream" you should find instructions.
