Hello,
I installed Sims 3 on my Sony Vaio laptop. The game didn't work and just froze up on the introduction so I uninstalled the game and restarted my laptop. My sound work perfectly before installing the game, then after the uninstall, no sound at all. I have uninstalled my sound driver and re-installed several times. Disable the sound and enabled. Everything I can think of. My driver is up to date and my volume is all the way up. Any other suggestions?

In Vista you can back-out the latest drivers. That's what I suggest you do.

Start - Control Panel - hardware and sound - Device Manager/View hardware --- then select audio hardware - driver - "Roll back"

Good Luck
