My sony wont finnish the recovery proccess

Hello, my sony viao xp edition wont finish the recovery proccess it comes up with the message (disk access: cannot write on the hard disk because the sense operation failed.recover your computer again). tried to recover again but the same message keep popping up.any ideas any one as i am stuck cz now it wont start up as it just automatically goes to the restore page when booted up. thank you alex
