Networking with another computer with a virus

Hello, I was wondering if there is a possibility of getting a virus from my roommate's computer through sharing my internet connection using a router? She had a trojan and it was supposedly fixed, but if it still isn't , is there a possibility that it will get passed to my computer?I have Bit Defender for virus protection .Thank you, Laurie
