My computer has no speakers and i want to use

Hello, My computer has no speakers and i want to use headphone speakers but they wont work. i plug them into something else and they work but not when i plug them into the headphone jack on the front of my computer. it is an Acer aspire i think. i have windows xp and i had to restore my computer and now there is no sound working no matter what i try

You probably need to download the audio hardware drivers from Acer. Go to the Acer web site "support" tab and download and then install the drivers.
