do you have a wireless router running now for your XP connection? If Yes then you need to connect the Vista PC to that router: Go to
CONTROL PANEL - NETWORK AND INTERNET - NETWORK AND SHARING CENTER -
SETUP A NEW CONNECTION OR NETWORK and finally CONNECT TO THE INTERNET
in this screen you will need to enter the SSID (router/network name) and the keyword that you setup in the router.
