i am having problem with my sound device Closed

Question

Hello, 

i am having problem with my sound device,,window is unable to play any sound

it is not showing any volume control, or any other volume control,but 
the audio driver is installed properly

and whenever i use to play track it shows me an error
driver might not be installed prorly or sound is used by any other area


 i dont have any idea what the problm is--
please help me to shoot this problem 
configuration
window xp
service pack 2
compaq presario desktop

Did you check device manager? Do you have any yellow mark?

Go to control panel-sounds

Click on Audio tab and make sure proper sound device is selected
