Can't get into my pc

Hello,
I had a virus and had it deleted. I read info on changing passwords, did so and now i can't get into my pc. I log on as owner and password won't work. I even tried old ones, caps etc all to no avail. what do I need to do to bypass password or restore my pc system? Thanks
