Hello,

Yes, of course I understand about courtesy. I must apologise if I sounded curt. I usually end all requests with thank you and I am so upset to find that I must sound so awful. Please forgive me. I have had a good night's sleep and am a little calmer now (not that that's an excuse I know).
My hotmail account was blocked yesterday. I have tried Ambucius' suggestion with the link, but when I get there there is no place to give the information. Anything I try to do just takes me around in a loop to the same thing. 'Account blocked.' I have changed my password a couple of times when I have been let onto the page but it hasn't made any difference. Mostly I am not allowed to the login page. I have spent hours on this and I have no idea where to turn for help.
Is there anyone out there who knows what I should do to unblock?
I would be grateful for any suggestions. Thank you.

Dear Blockedout,

You never mentioned why your account is blocked.

I have personnally tested my solution and I don't get taken around. Are you clicking on the correct links?

I suggest you go to Kioskea's faq and consult:

You will note, if all else fails, that there is a last resort solution which I truly hope will work for you.

Dear Ambucias

As of this moment the account has been restored. It was touch and go for a while as I got a warning message saying that the site might not be quite right, but I closed off and began again and went in through the address bar.
I don't think I will ever trust it again really, but honestly, it was like finding a lost handbag with all of my valuable information again.
I can't tell you how grateful I am and how much I value all of the people who spend their time helping. Thank you all so much.

Thank you ever so much for your feedback. I am truly happy you recovered your account and I understand the stress you lived.

Indeed, any free e-mail site is not secured and all of your data must be backed-up. If you take a look through Kioskea, all mail site have been victims of hackers : Hotmail/MSN, Yahoo, GMail, etc.

You would be best to use your Internet Service Providers e-mail service or another application such as Outlook or Outlook Express.
