are you sure you got the audio drivers installed correctly.
Under Control Panel, type Device Manager and click on the result entry.
You will see a list of your devices. If the speakers devices have a yellow exclamation mark next to them, then indeed, you need the correct drivers installed.
If not, go to your sound settings and under the Playback devices tab, see whether your speakers are not already listed. If they are, right-click on the speakers' entry and choose "Make this device default".
This should make the sound on your PC to now pass through the speakers/earphone jack instead.
