This is the second Pavilion sound problem on the Forum. Pavilions have a problem with the sound board originally installed and HP can't resolve the problem. The only way to really resolve the problem is to buy and install a new sound board. Don't try and remove the original just plug the new board in an empty slot. It is a pretty simple process. Sound system works great now, both speakers and earphones.
