Hello,
I recently had to restore my Win. XP home, I did a non-destructive recovery and now Im constantly getting a persistance error every time I turn it on and most of my programs still work but parts in them dont. Like my photo explosion deluxe. it works but the fantamorph program that is suppose to install with it keeps hanging up when i try to open it?????? The web pages I look at I almost need a magnifing glass to read. They even print out tiny. Ive done all the adjusting I can do as far as the appearance goes and everything is eathier way to big or way to small. Ive adjusted the font size and everything. I jsut bought a new HP wide screen monitor that looked great before the crash. But now im ready to throw the whole thing out the window. Please help. Im going blind lol. and im so tired of errors. Im using Kaspersky virus protection and have ran that sevral times. Ccleaner and Adware SE, system mechanic. Nothing helps. I so hope u can. THANX!!!!! oh and i have the sp3 installed

I assume you did not download an updated video driver after you re-installed XP. You might have the original driver that was written before wide screen monitors were common. This might cause the wild size changes on your screen. You should get the latest video driver and then set your resolution to match the "native mode" of your monitor.

you may need to reinstall some of your application programs as well. Good Luck

i have tried updating my driver and I also have a persistence module error popping up every time I turn the comp. on. Its has something to do with the igfxpers.exe 6.14.10.4764 I looked it up and I think it has something to do with the intel driver. I have uninstalled it an reinstalled it. same thing. Would doing a destructabl boot be a bad thing? Im not a comp. expert for sure and worry i may mess the whole thing up if I do it without asking someone lol Any other suggestions???????????????????? Now my keyboard is trippen UGH Thanx

Destructive boot? I'm not sure what that is. If you mean a full re-install of Widows that re-formats your hard disk. Sure, go ahead. That should/might fix all your problems. But, you will need to reinstall all you applications programs.

Good Luck
