My laptop wont start. please help

Hello,

my laptop is gateway n59. the light indicating that there is power tells me its on.. but the HDD is not working... i did this method that i read on a blog, holding the power button for 30sec without plugging it and the battery, then turn it on... sometimes, it would work.. but most of the time... it would'nt.. i really need help... plss

Hi,

Have you tried to start it without the battery and with the power adapter?You can also give a try with another adapter of same voltage and give your feedback.
