Hello,
Try this 1
When you switch ON your computer, start tapping the "F8" key to get "Windows
Advanced Options"( if boot menu appears, press "Esc" key and keeptapping the
F8 key)
Select the option "Enable VGA Mode".
If the problem still exists then let me know if you are able to boot into "Safe
Mode with Command Prompt". Do you have Windows XP CD ?

Unfortunately, I'm not even having the Windows xp cd.. :(
thanx for replying mate, just wanted to make sure before applying to it that "will using the vga mode gonna effect the system in any way?"

If the display settings got configured to an another setting that the monitor cannot display then "Enable VGA Mode" is useful. It will start the Windows in 640 x 480 mode and later you can change it to the compatible video settings.
